Today, Thursday, July 8, 2010, I bought SPY, for both client and my personal accounts.

At 85% SPY, 15% cash, we still have a bearish portfolio. If the market goes up, we underperform; if the market goes down, we outperform.

The big question here is whether this rally which began yesterday represents a change of trend, or is nothing more than a technical bounce in an ongoing bear market. At this time, I favor the technical bounce idea. My indicators remain unanimously bearish. Yet I do think this bounce may have at least a little further to go.
