Market Timing Alert: BEARISH The market is holding its collective breath, waiting to see what kind of emergency financial rescue plan will get through Congress. Meanwhile, stocks are slipping lower. I see no follow-through to last week's rally. Perhaps it was just a 2-day flash in the pan. Sellers still have the upper hand. My indicators are now unanimously bearish and deteriorating. Risk remains high. I now suspect that my bullish call of a few days ago was premature. ("premature" is a euphemism for "wrong"). We may well be near an important bottom -- but that bottom may be still ahead of us rather than behind us. I want to be bullish when it's behind us. -KD, Wednesday, September 24, 2008
