Market stance: BULLISH (since Oct 3 2003)

*************** Weekly Status Report: Market Commentary ****************

It was a modest up week for the market, and for Deen Capital clients.

My NASDAQ Timing Model gave a bullish signal on Friday at the close, so
now my two primary indicators (the other one being my Performance-of-
Recent-Stock-Picks Index) are both bullish.  A third indicator I also
consider important is the percentage of stocks trading above their 50-
day moving average.  This also improved slightly last week.  What's
more, the single biggest earnings news last week was a stellar report
from Yahoo!, and, more importantly, the market reaction was strongly
positive.

And yet I am worried.  This is, after all, October, and, when the market
has had a strong first three quarters, then October is especially likely
to spell trouble.

So far, so good, but I am watching my back closely.  We're having a
profitable October, and I'd like to keep it that way.
